Job summary

Buyerlink is seeking an experienced Full Stack Node.js Developer to design, develop, and maintain Node microservices and Angular dashboards within a Kubernetes-based infrastructure. This in-office role in Victoria, BC offers a chance to influence critical tech decisions and deliver robust, scalable software solutions.

You will lead architectural choices, collaborate across teams, and mentor junior developers while delivering features like call routing, real-time bidding, and secure API design.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional development experience.
• Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js and Angular.
• Strong experience with RESTful API design and development.
• Proficiency in databases (MySQL, NoSQL) and cloud services (GCP, AWS).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Ability to mentor junior developers.
• AI agentic software development experience.
• In-office role in Victoria, BC.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust Node.js microservices with focus on reliability, performance, scalability, and security.
• Develop and maintain Angular frontend dashboards in TypeScript, communicating with backend APIs.
• Develop and maintain call routing, real-time bidding, data tracking, and billing or payment processing.
• Troubleshoot, test, monitor, and maintain the core product software to ensure reliability and optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, document, and ship new features.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure high coding standards.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in backend, frontend, and infrastructure.

Whatyou’lldo:

• Develop andmaintainrobust Node.js microservices with a focus on reliability, performance, scalability, and security.

Your skills:

• Minimum of 5 years of professional development experience
• Expertisein JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js and web frameworks like Angular
• Strong experience with API design and development (RESTful).
• Proficiencyin advanced database management and optimization (MySQL, NoSQL databases).
• Experience with cloud services (GCP, AWS) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture patterns and best practices.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in leading projects and mentoring junior developers.
• Proven experience in AI agentic software development
• Ability to handle a fast-paced working environment and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Fast learner and focused on details

Nice to Have:

• Contributions to open-source projects.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
• Knowledgeofadditionalprogramming languages and frameworks, including Python, PHP, Terraform, and Bash scripting
• Experience with Twilio
• Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field
• AI, Machine Learning, and data analytical skills

Compensation: $100,000-115,000
Compensation will be determined by factors including knowledge and skills, role-specific qualifications, market location, and experience
