What is the Opportunity?

Join our innovative PayEdge Technology team at RBC, where we're revolutionizing accounts payable for businesses. We're seeking two talented Senior Full Stack Developers to help design, develop, and maintain our secure and high-performing digital platform. As a key player, you'll contribute to every stage of the software development life cycle, focusing on quality, maintainability, performance, and reliability. If you're a team-oriented developer with a strong technical foundation, excellent problem-solving skills, and proficiency in languages like Java, PHP, and frameworks such as Angular, Spring Boot, and Laravel, let's build the future of payments together.

What will you do :

1. Be part of an Agile development team comprised of technical, product, and business members to develop new services and enhance PayEdge client-facing applications following best practices and using the latest technologies.
2. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code for front-end (PHP / Angular) and back-end (PHP / Spring Boot) applications. Ensure high code quality through automated unit and functional testing.
3. Modernize and refactor legacy systems to align with current technologies and architectural best practices.
4. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues while driving application stability and performance through proactive enhancements and optimizations.
5. Develop, optimize, and maintain MySQL databases, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and ensuring data integrity.
6. Debug production performance issues across services and levels of the stack and provide primary operational support.
7. Automate processes within the development pipeline; identify opportunities for efficiency gains and reducing time-to-market and enabling continuous delivery.
8. Perform production support roles, including off-hours support (participating in an on-call rotation).

What do you need to succeed?

Must have :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with PHP, Laravel, and SQL.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Angular, Java, REST APIs / Microservices, and Spring Framework (MVC, Security, JPA, Spring Boot).
• 5+ years of experience working with RDBMS, e.g., MySQL, MSSQL, and NoSQL, e.g., MongoDB, ELK, and data streaming technologies (Kafka).
• 5+ years of experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Experience with CI / CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub, Vault, Security scanning tools, etc.).
• Ability to work in an Agile environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on clean coding practices and scalability.
• Good communication and collaboration abilities.
• A passion for technology and a love of software development culture.

Nice to have :

• Familiarity with major architectural styles, such as Microservices, Reactor, Event-driven systems.
• Knowledge of modern front-end design trends and technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Microservices architecture and API integration.
• Deep understanding of API gateway and security protocols (JWT, OAuth, SSL Certificates).
• Experience developing and troubleshooting distributed cloud applications (Azure AKS).
• Proficiency in CI / CD pipelines and testing automation tools.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the ability to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
