Job summary

Ombud is hiring a senior full-stack engineer to build the next generation of our agentic AI platform. You will own end-to-end production features, including the agentic engine, tool orchestration, and data pipelines, collaborating directly with the CEO and platform engineer.

You’ll work with Python, Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch, shipping production code in a small, senior team. This role requires in-office Tue–Thu in Denver and a strong focus on system design and responsible AI

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience with production ownership.
• Deep Python fluency and JavaScript/TypeScript/React competence.
• Hands-on production experience integrating LLMs into products (Anthropic/OpenAI/Google).
• Working knowledge of RAG architectures, embeddings, vector databases, retrieval vs. context-caching trade-offs.
• Fluency with Claude Code or similar AI-augmented development workflows.
• Strong system-design intuition and autonomous problem-solving in small teams.

Responsibilities

• Own Ombuddy Native features from design to deployment, including orchestration, tooling, and workflows.
• Develop and optimize RAG/CAG architectures with embeddings, retrieval, and caching strategies.
• Integrate LLMs (Claude primary) with multi-model routing where appropriate.
• Build evaluation pipelines and reliable regression tests for prompts and features.
• Own production operations: deployment, monitoring, incidents, and observability.
