An established industry player is seeking a Mid-Senior Frontend Developer to join their dynamic team in Toronto. • Collaborate closely with peers, Architects, Product Managers, Business Analysts, Quality Engineers, and Operations teams to develop innovative solutions that meet functional and non-functional standards and expectations.
• Be involved in development, testing, release, triage, bug fix, documentation, and work in an Agile environment. Use tools like JIRA, Git, CICD, and other internal eBay tools regularly to prioritize work and deliver features.
• Deliver world-class web experiences for sellers utilizing modern web technologies while maintaining high quality, reusability, performance, and adherence to front-end standards.
• While mastery in Frontend development is expected, you should be comfortable with all layers of multi-tier applications to design complete solutions and maintain products.
• Participate in technical design and code reviews, providing feedback to other engineers.
• Estimate engineering efforts, plan roadmaps, and oversee operational processes such as automation and controls to improve efficiency and quality.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field plus 12+ years of experience in building large-scale web-based distributed systems.
• Strong CSS3 skills, including layouts, media queries, responsive design, gradients, transitions, positioning, flexbox, box models, floating, inline styles, and preprocessors.
• Hands-on frontend testing skills using frameworks like Mocha/Chai, mocks/spies/stubs, visual regression tools like Percy, code coverage, and CI/CD integrations such as Jenkins.
• Solid understanding of REST-based interfaces and storage technologies (relational and NoSQL).
• Experience with drag-and-drop functionality, image editing, video upload capabilities, and real-time streaming is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
