Senior Front-end Development Lead to drive the design and development of scalable, cloud-native applications using React, Next.js, and Node.js

Our Calgary-based SaaS client is looking for a Senior Front-end Development Lead to drive the design and development of scalable, cloud-native applications using React, Next.js, and Node.js

Must Haves:

• 5–10 years of front-end development experience in production environments.
• Strong proficiency with React, Next.js (including server-side rendering), and Node.js.
• 2 + years leadership experience – mentoring developers, code reviews, and guiding architecture decisions.
• Working knowledge of Mongoose for MongoDB.
• Experience working with SQL and Snowflake.

Nice to haves:

• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and tools like Kafka.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native development, ideally with AWS.
• Ability to design and implement scalable, maintainable architecture.
• Understanding of open-source technologies and standards.
