Responsibilities

• Own the front-end architecture and implementation using React + TypeScript.
• Build dynamic, component-driven UIs that consume APIs and work across a range of screen sizes.
• Integrate with AWS services (Cognito, API Gateway, S3, etc.) where needed.
• Set up and manage front-end build pipelines and CI/CD processes.
• Ensure performance, accessibility, and usability across the platform.
• Think critically about UX, design feedback, and evolving product requirements.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Shape coding standards and front-end best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of front-end development experience, with a strong command of React and TypeScript and front end security best practices
• Comfortable with Node.js and DynamoDB (or non-relational databases)
• Comfortable with user session management/caching and invalidation
• Experience with AWS — particularly with front-end integration points like Cognito, S3, and API Gateway.
• Strong eye for UI/UX and attention to detail.
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup or small team environment.
• Ability to take ownership of work and manage your own pace and progress.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with serverless AWS architectures.
• Familiarity with design systems and building reusable components.
• Experience in education, edtech, or admissions platforms is a bonus.
• Familiarity with end-to-end testing frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright).

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary range: $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience
• Eligible employees may be invited to participate in our equity program
• Health and dental coverage available after a three-month probationary period
