Job summary

Aviso seeks a Senior Reviser/Translator to join our Translation Services team within Communications. You will revise and translate materials for our French-speaking audience, ensuring accuracy and compliance with brand standards and regulatory requirements.

This 12-month contract role is based in Toronto with a 4-day workweek. The ideal candidate has extensive reviser experience in finance, strong English/French skills, and proficiency with SDL Trados and related tools.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a reviser/translator, 5+ years as reviser, preferably in financial services
• Knowledge of financial markets and terminology; IFIC/CSC is an asset
• Exceptional written and verbal communications in French and English
• Superior time management and multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with translation aids (SDL Trados, Language Weaver) and Antidote
• Attention to detail and accountability within a team

Responsibilities

• Ensure materials for French-speaking audience meet highest quality standards per brand guidelines
• Provide feedback on translations through vendor channels; perform terminology input
• Proofread work from team members as needed
• Ensure accurate revision/translation of brochures, reports, ads, presentations, and website content
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and market news to ensure translation accuracy
• Identify reputational and other risks in translation requests and escalate appropriately
• Maintain terminology consistency in internal Multiterm database
