Job Overview:

The Hyperconverged signal processing team plays a key role in helping Ross Video achieve its corporate vision to lead the world in video production solutions. We enable our customers to integrate any media into their production using highly acclaimed hardware platforms such as openGear and Ultrix. Join our passionate and innovative team behind the Emmy award-winning openGear platform! Your responsibilities include delivering high-quality RTL code for video processing systems and shaping product development to help deliver world-class media production infrastructures.

What the job is all about:

  • Develop and refine challenging video processing and transport features on integrated hardware platforms in the broadcast industry.
  • Design RTL for high-performance real-time media processing involving high-bandwidth interfaces to memory, PCIe, or hardware-accelerated functions like video scaling or HDR/SDR conversion.
  • Implement real-time transport protocols such as SDI and SMPTE 2110 in FPGA designs.
  • Review schematic designs, advise on FPGA density, thermal design, and clocking.
  • Create IO ring designs for various FPGA platforms to verify pin-outs and IP integration.
  • Develop high-level design requirements, manage component selection, and support project schedules.
  • Generate specifications and design documentation for cross-functional teams.
  • Verify FPGA and hardware designs with team collaboration.
  • Apply efficient debugging skills.
  • Support other team members throughout the NPI process, including design, testing, manufacturing, and customer support.

Who you are:

  • Intermediate to senior FPGA design experience, including FPGA architecture, high-speed transceivers, clock analysis, and timing closure.
  • Proficient in FPGA development languages such as Verilog, SystemVerilog, and TCL scripting.
  • Capable of creating Verilog testbenches and running simulations.
  • Experienced with Xilinx and Intel FPGA devices and associated tools.
  • Knowledge of high-speed serial interfaces, DDR interfaces, HBM, and PLLs.
  • Excellent debugging skills and proficiency with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, JBERTs, network analyzers, etc.).
  • Experience in embedded environments with Linux, Bash, C/C++, and networking skills is a plus.
  • Understanding of broadcast workflows and digital video/audio standards is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of FPGA and hardware development experience, preferably in Video/Audio technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, team-oriented, with problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated, quick learner, and creative problem solver.
  • Ability to work proactively, balancing risks to optimize success.
  • Comfortable working independently or leading ideas with management.
