Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking a newly qualified Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA-CA or CPA) in Markham. This role involves operating as the local finance lead, overseeing month-end activities, and providing insights across multiple Business Units. The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of experience, strong IFRS knowledge, and excellent communication skills. Attractive compensation including a base salary and annual bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive experience including familiarity with SaaS/software principles.
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of IFRS including familiarity with IFRS 15/revenue recognition.
• Experience with Great Plains would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Operate as local finance lead for multiple Business Units in revenue.
• Oversee/review month end activities and periodic reporting packages including analysis of company results.
• Support leadership across a number of entities through business partnering, provide value add insight and advice.
• Review complex accounting transactions and contract agreements to ensure compliance with IFRS.
• Assist in systems integration of the business unit ensuring effective amalgamation into existing processes.
• Develop presentations and commentary to showcase financial performance for senior management.
