Job summary

Urban Grid, a leading independent power producer, seeks a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A to join its growth-focused finance team in Gatineau, QC. You will build and maintain project financial models, manage budgeting and forecasting, and partner with Treasury, Capital Markets, Procurement, Construction and Asset Development.

The role requires 3+ years in modelling, strong MS Excel and US GAAP/SOX awareness, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or Mathematics.
• Minimum three years of related work experience in a modelling role.
• Professional designation such as CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus.
• Strong MS Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Experience with US GAAP and SOX compliance is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage a monthly Capital plan to monitor project liquidity.
• Prepare and maintain project financial models consolidated for planning and valuation.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Capital Markets, Procurement, Construction and Asset Development.
• Support annual budgeting and monthly forecasting with management reporting.
• Prepare presentations for senior management and maintain KPI dashboards.
• Drive process improvements (Onestream, Netsuite, Procore) and data integrity across platforms.
