Job Description

Our client is a growing, project-based manufacturing company delivering complex, custom-built solutions for clients across North America. As the business scales and project complexity grows, the company is looking to hire a Senior FP&A professional who can bring structure, insight, and forward-looking financial visibility to support the decision-making process.

This is a new role, ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment and is excited about building tools, processes, and models that directly support operations, sales, and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning
• Partner with operations and project management to analyze job costing, margins, and profitability
• Create rolling cash flow forecasts and monitor working capital needs
• Provide regular, timely reporting and insight to the Executive and senior team
• Develop and refine reporting tools (Excel-based or BI tools) to increase visibility into project and business performance
• Support pricing strategies and contract analysis for custom jobs
• Help establish KPIs and dashboards that align with business goals
• Assist in business planning and long-term strategy
• Have some oversight of the accounting and reporting function

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 4–8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or business finance roles
• Experience in project-based businesses (e.g., manufacturing, retail, construction, custom fabrication, or professional services)
• Strong background in job costing, margin analysis, and cash flow forecasting, budgeting and planning
• Proficiency in Excel and experience building models from scratch; knowledge of BI/reporting tools an asset. QBO is an asset.
• Able to work cross-functionally and translate financial data into business insight
• Self-starter with a “builder” mindset—comfortable creating new tools and frameworks
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with senior leadership and across the organization as required.
• CPA required
