  • Extensive knowledge of casting processes including gating, risering, and solidification
  • Experience with tooling design and foundry layouts
  • Customer-facing experience supporting technical reviews and launches

  • Serve as a technical leader and trusted advisor within the engineering team.
  • Support day-to-day engineering operations and provide practical solutions to production challenges.

  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes for non-ferrous castings.
  • Design gating and risering systems to optimize casting quality and production efficiency.

  • Conduct feasibility reviews and support customer onboarding activities.
  • Participate in technical design reviews with customers and suppliers.
  • Identify process risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing operation.
  • Oversee tooling layouts with a focus on manufacturability and production efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance to tooling and manufacturing teams.
  • Support engineering documentation, work instructions, and manufacturing standards.
  • Assist with estimating new components and updating production costs.
  • Support capacity planning and manufacturing resource requirements.
  • Provide engineering support for welding repairs and shop-floor production issues.
  • Independently troubleshoot engineering and production issues.
  • Escalate technical concerns with practical recommendations when required.
  • Provide regular updates on engineering priorities, project status, and operational risks.
  • Drive improvements in manufacturing quality, productivity, and efficiency.

Lead Innovation in Non-Ferrous Foundry Engineering

We are seeking an experienced Senior Foundry Engineer to provide technical leadership within a fast-paced manufacturing environment specializing in non-ferrous castings.

This role is ideal for a hands‑on engineering professional who enjoys solving complex production challenges, leading new product launches, optimizing foundry processes, and working closely with customers, production teams, and tooling specialists. You'll play a key role in driving operational excellence while supporting the continued growth of our engineering department.

What You'll Do
Engineering Leadership

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong hands‑on experience in non-ferrous foundry operations. Looking for 6 years of experience plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of casting processes, including gating, risering, and solidification principles.
  • Experience with tooling design, foundry layouts, and manufacturing constraints.
  • Customer-facing experience supporting technical reviews and new product launches.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and decision‑making skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience leading engineering teams or mentoring junior engineers.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven ability to solve complex production challenges under tight deadlines.
