Motion Recruitment is sourcing a Senior Forward Deployed Java Engineer in Test (SDET)/Quality Engineering Architect for a global bank in Mississauga, ON. Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with client-facing delivery
• Expert-level Java (Core Java, Spring Boot) and/or strong Python production experience
• Ability to work across Java and Python codebases or ramp up quickly
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD: Tekton, Jenkins
• Strong database expertise: Oracle, MS SQL Server, MongoDB
• DevOps practices: Docker/OpenShift/Kubernetes, IaC, cloud deployment (AWS/Azure/GCP)

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical point of contact embedded with client teams to gather requirements, scope solutions, and define technical sequencing.
• Rapidly prototype and deliver production-ready applications using Java or Python.
• Balance scope, speed, and quality to meet aggressive client timelines.
• Own Discovery & Scoping engagements and translate business asks into technical specs.
• Demonstrate business acumen: ROI/AI impact, enterprise workflows, stakeholder management.
• Produce clear technical documentation and communicate architecture decisions to engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
