Your role requires high scientific standards. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading fisheries and aquatic habitat assessment projects across Canada.
  • Conducting assessments on fish habitat, communities, and health, integrating geomorphology, limnology, hydrology, and water/sediment quality.
  • Contributing expertise to multidisciplinary projects.
  • Mentoring junior team members.
  • Representing Ecofish Research Ltd. and Minnow Environmental in the scientific community.
THE QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • R.P.Bio. or eligible.
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience, including fish collection and habitat assessment.
  • Experience with habitat characterization for Fisheries Act Authorizations.
  • Strong analytical, editing, and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Hands-on experience with aquatic field sampling techniques.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and statistical software.
  • Experience in the mining sector is an asset.
