Fire Fault & Commissioning Engineer

Location: St Albans – covering London & Home Counties

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (All Travel Covered)

Reporting directly to the engineering manager, the role is to be the day-to-day onsite and technical lead within the operations team for our fire and life safety department. Focused on servicing, reactive calls, and commissioning. This includes high-level commissioning and fault finding across various systems.

The role also involves developing our current engineering team both technically and personally.

What you will do:
  1. Commission fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance and accurate documentation. Systems range from standalone 20-device setups to 500+ device systems with multiple networked panels.
  2. Utilize your experience and technical ability to fault find on all systems to identify rectification actions.
  3. Have advanced knowledge of system setups and configurations, utilizing various software on a wide variety of panels.
  4. Understand and configure cause-and-effect on various panels.
  5. Support onsite with service-related issues relevant to your team and skillset.
  6. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure standards are met.
  7. Implement corrective actions for any non-conformities.
