Reporting to the Manager, Capital Accounting and Planning, the SFPA is responsible for various aspects of Project Cost Control and Reporting, balance sheet accounting, preparation and delivery of year end and audit schedules and documentation, and setting up major capital projects in the ERP System. The position will be responsible for a broad range of financial accountabilities and financial services in a multi-site environment working with designated client portfolios within CAMH. The individual will build effective, collaborative relationships and work strategically with internal client departments, programs and CAMH management to provide financial analysis, reporting and accounting services.
Responsible for the processing of invoices, commitments, journal entries, reconciliations, schedules and preparation of cost control and other related reports of all Site Redevelopment projects. The successful candidate is expected to work closely in coordination with the VP-Site Redevelopment, Purchasing, Project Managers and other key stakeholders.
You will possess a University degree in a related field, and professional designation of CPA. Seven (7) years of related working experience is required. Knowledge of the Health Care sector and the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care reporting requirements preferred. We are looking for demonstrated excellence in building and maintaining financial models in MS Access and/or Excel, as well as experience in project accounting methodologies and analysis. We require a self-starter who has the ability to work both independently and/or as a team member with minimal supervision. The successful candidate must have excellent analytical, problem recognition and problem solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external departments are required. Working knowledge of computerized accounting systems and software applications, with an aptitude for learning new computer applications quickly is a must. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required. Experience with Oracle ERP is considered an asset. The successful candidate must have the ability to work accurately under stressful conditions and meet tight deadlines. Candidates will possess the ability for self-directed learning/working, as well as collaboration and teamwork. You will demonstrate the ability and interest in working with a diverse team and in an environment that values diversity and equity. Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.
