Our culture is powered by empathy, innovation, and a shared mission to empower organizations making a difference. We operate with a customer-first mindset, take pride in extraordinary results, and grow together by supporting each other and embracing bold new ideas. If you’re passionate about using your skills to drive real impact and want to thrive in a collaborative, fully remote environment, Neon One is the place for you.

The Senior Financial Planning Analyst is a high-impact, analytical role supporting strategic financial planning, data integrity, and performance reporting. You’ll work closely with the Director of FP&A and VP of Strategic Finance to build scalable financial models, deliver actionable insights, and support SaaS-specific forecasting.

This is a role for a self-starter who can navigate large data sets, build driver-based models, and partner cross-functionally to support data-driven decisions. You'll be instrumental in improving forecasting accuracy, streamlining dashboards, and enabling smarter business strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Modeling & Planning

  • Build and maintain driver-based financial models that connect business drivers to financial outcomes.

  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual planning cycles, including board-level reporting.

  • Support sales forecasting, cohort analysis, and commission planning to align performance and incentives.

Data Analytics & Dashboarding

  • Ensure accuracy across systems and datasets to support data auditing and executive reporting.

  • Identify trends and deliver insights across core SaaS metrics (ARR, CAC, LTV, churn).

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Product) to deliver financial insights that drive strategic initiatives.

  • Develop scalable dashboards using tools like Power BI or Metabase.

Strategic Projects & Automation

  • Contribute to automation and predictive analytics initiatives to improve reporting efficiency.

  • Drive scenario modeling to support strategic decision-making.

Must-Haves
  • 5+ years of FP&A experience, ideally within SaaS or subscription-based businesses.

  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets with strong financial modeling skills (e.g. powerpivot).

  • Hands-on experience with CRMs (Salesforce or similar) and ERPs (NetSuite or similar).

  • Experience working with large datasets and extracting insights through tools like Power BI, Metabase, SQL, or Python.

  • Comfort with financial statements and ability to audit data across systems.

  • Self-starter mindset with attention to detail and a bias for action.

Great-to-Haves
  • Experience with SaaS for statistical analysis and modeling.

  • Exposure to Solution 7, Hyperion, and enterprise-level financial systems.

  • Background in working with distributed teams in remote environments.

  • Understanding of SaaS payment structures is a bonus, though not core to this role.
