Job summary

Meridian Credit Union is seeking a Senior Financial Planner within the Wealth team to proactively help Members reach personal financial goals. You will assess each Member’s situation and risk tolerance to tailor investment, education, retirement and estate planning strategies.

You will build lasting relationships, collaborate with internal partners, and pursue opportunities to expand Meridian’s wealth services and share of wallet while supporting branch growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of financial services experience in a financial planning/advisory capacity.
• Proficiency in investment, wealth management and retirement planning concepts.
• Strong ability to educate and advise Members on financial strategies.
• Regulatory and licensing requirements must be met (IIROC where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized financial planning and investment advice to Members.
• Collaborate with Retail, Wealth and Commercial partners to grow business.
• Develop and present holistic financial plans, including retirement, estate and tax considerations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of wealth products and services to meet Member needs.
