Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc. is hiring a Senior Financial Performance Advisor to drive financial forecasting, analysis, and cost management for the investment activities.

You will develop tools to support decision-making and serve as a trusted partner to investment teams. The role emphasizes strong English and French proficiency, rigorous analysis, and collaboration across internal partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• CPA designation or in process is a strong asset.
• 8–12 years of experience in accounting analysis, FP&A or financial analysis.
• Advanced level of English proficiency.
• Very advanced level of French proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of financial forecasts, multi-year projections and business scenarios for the investment sector.
• Coordinate budgeting processes including consolidation and analysis of assumptions.
• Develop and interpret KPIs to support management decisions and capital allocation.
• Design and maintain executive dashboards and decision-support tools.
• Act as a trusted advisor to investment teams on financial performance and impacts of operational decisions.
• Ensure robustness of costing models and reliability of financial information.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements processes.

What you'll accomplish with us

As a Senior Financial Performance Advisor, you'll be at the core of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:

• Lead the development of financial forecasts, multi-year projections and business scenarios for the investment sector, proactively identifying risks, opportunities and performance drivers;
• Play a key role in coordinating the budgeting process, including consolidation, critical analysis of assumptions and providing management with meaningful insight into financial results;
• Develop, enhance and interpret strategic key performance indicators (KPIs) to support management decisions and the optimal allocation of capital;
• Design and maintain executive dashboards and decision-support tools, with a focus on clarity, relevance and added value for managers;
• Act as a trusted advisor to investment teams on financial performance, interpretation of results and the financial impacts of operational decisions;
• Ensure the ongoing development and robustness of the costing model for investment activities, promoting consistency, transparency and accuracy in allocated costs;
• Contribute to the governance of financial processes related to the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, with a strong focus on the quality and reliability of financial information;
• Perform and oversee complex accounting analyses, including journal entries, reconciliations and taxes, while serving as a point of reference on matters requiring a high degree of professional judgment;
• Work closely with internal partners to structure, analyze and clarify the financial treatment of certain expenses and strategic initiatives;
• Identify and implement continuous improvements to financial management processes to enhance efficiency, rigor and decision-making.

• Holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field;
• Holds a CPA designation, or is in the process of obtaining it, which would be considered a strong asset;
• Has 8 to 12 years of experience in accounting analysis, FP&A or financial analysis;
• Has an advanced level of English proficiency, as the role involves communicating with English-speaking partners on a regular basis.
• Has a very advanced level of French proficiency, as the team is French-speaking and the majority of the work is conducted in French.
