  • Facilitate a team approach by actively referring clients to MD Private Investment Counsel, MD Private Trust, MD Insurance, and MD Banking Products. You will ensure client needs are proactively addressed in alignment with their current financial situation and life stage.
  • Further your knowledge of advanced financial planning concepts including income tax, investment trends and products, and compliance with all industry regulations to minimize risk and expense to the company.
  • Participate in facilitating seminars and information meetings throughout the region, as well as implementing marketing strategies to provide advice concerning investment programs and related services.
  • Flexibility to travel, as required, is expected.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Pursue effective and efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, ensuring adherence to day-to-day business controls.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you:

  • Are inspired by doing the best for your clients and by providing tailored and timely advice.
  • Use exceptional interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and understand the importance of client trust.
  • Can quickly understand the client’s perspective, influencing your choice of strategies and products.
  • Are an outstanding communicator, actively listening and tailoring your response based on your client’s understanding.
  • Are a rapid responder, prioritizing urgent client needs.
  • Take pride in your personal development and enjoy learning new tools and techniques.
  • Embrace change and thrive in an ever-changing environment.
  • Enjoy the collaborative process and look forward to partnering with team members.
  • Have a breadth and depth of core financial products and confidence in presenting this information to clients.

The Must Haves:
