Our client is a software company seeking a Senior Financial Accountant responsible for financial operations, accurate financial reporting, and process improvements. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Financial Reporting & Consolidations, this role is vital for maintaining data integrity, supporting payroll and financial reporting, and automating processes through internal controls. A solid accounting background and curiosity for solving complex financial challenges are essential for success.

About the Role

• Transaction Management: Record, verify, and consolidate transactions to ensure accurate accounting data.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Update subsidiary ledgers, prepare trial balances, reconcile, and resolve discrepancies.
• Month-End and Year-End Closings: Complete closing activities accurately and on time.
• Process Optimization: Evaluate and improve workflows for efficiency and accuracy.
• Financial Analysis: Generate reports, reconcile balance sheets, and analyze financial data.
• Audit Support: Assist with external audits by preparing documentation and working papers.
• Financial Modeling: Develop models and ad hoc reports.
• Fixed Asset Management: Track, reconcile, and schedule depreciation for assets.
• Technical Research & Issue Resolution: Resolve complex transactions and recommend best practices.
• Process Automation: Identify and implement automation technologies.
• Project Participation: Contribute to finance system and process projects.

Qualifications

• CPA designation
• 5+ years in accounting/finance, with experience across multiple legal entities
• Strong analytical skills and experience with large datasets
• Experience in financial consolidation and SaaS/recurring revenue industries preferred
• Knowledge of NetSuite is a strong asset

Salary Range

$90,000 - $110,000 per year
