Overview Summary

The position ensures departmental processes adhere to standard accounting practices and financial controls across divisions like Pulp and Paper and Kruger Packaging. The incumbent provides financial and operational information to support business decisions and reports to the Sales Accounting and Credit Director.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee the complete revenue cycle in collaboration with the sales accounting director.
2. Provide visibility of profitability, including Millnet and marginal contribution, to support sales and controllers.
3. Deliver financial information, KPIs, reports, and analysis related to sales operations, working closely with Group Controllers, Sales Management, and Sales Operations Management.
4. Perform analysis and develop tools for decision-making (e.g., volume sold, pricing, inventory, distribution costs).
5. Coordinate and validate annual and quarterly sales budgets, perform monthly reviews, identify discrepancies, and recommend actions.
6. Optimize and automate sales accounting processes and systems, including system and reporting enhancements.
7. Identify accounting issues, propose new processes, and mitigate risks based on standard practices.
8. Investigate data discrepancies, identify sources, and implement corrections.
9. Collaborate with IT on projects and tools related to sales operations.

Qualifications

• CPA designation with 3-5 years of experience in financial or management accounting, preferably in a similar role.
• Strong business acumen and ability to prioritize issues.
• Autonomy, initiative, and leadership qualities.
• Analytical skills, system proficiency, and creativity.
• Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
• Comfortable in a dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of accounting systems and ERP, especially JD Edwards, is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.

English proficiency is required as Kruger works with partners across North America, and frequent communication is expected.
