As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will support various business groups by providing objective, fact-based analytics to understand performance drivers and the impact of different courses of action. You will participate in decision-making, support new initiatives, and enhance efficiency.

This role requires the successful candidate to be in the greater Vancouver, BC area, where we practice a remote-first working model, leveraging in-person interactions for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.

What you’ll do:

1. Conduct analyses ranging from short-term opportunities like sales, operational efficiencies, and customer service, to long-term initiatives in adjacent businesses or new ventures.
2. Influence decision-making by presenting data through compelling stories that drive action, using a fact-based approach and understanding multiple perspectives.
3. Learn and adopt new analytics methodologies, approaches, and data management techniques, compiling and analyzing data from various sources using queries, Excel, and BI tools, and communicating results effectively.
4. Partner with stakeholders in financial planning activities such as long-range planning, forecasting, and annual budgeting.
5. Synthesize financial data to identify variances and trends, providing insightful commentaries that add business value.

What we’re looking for:

• 3+ years of relevant finance or accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting, finance, economics, engineering, computer science, math, or related field
• Proven experience with Excel, financial analysis, and data analysis
• Intermediate to advanced SQL experience or other data analysis tools
• Experience working with Power Query
