Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Aid in various internal/external audits including Sarbanes-Oxley self-assessment.
  • Maintain ongoing communication and perform variance analysis for Business Unit Cost Centre Managers.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting as needed.
  • Support month-end close tasks, including journal entries.
  • Prepare bids and buck sheets for the total C5ISR group.
  • Generate weekly revenue summaries for the 3 business units.
  • Ensure timely completion of corporate submissions (tax packages, etc.).

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing financial analysis, support, and control to 3 business units (Data Solutions, Mission Solutions, and MSS) within Curtiss-Wright Controls Defense Solutions.

Your Challenge:

  • Aid in various internal/external audits including Sarbanes-Oxley self-assessment.
  • Maintain ongoing communication and perform variance analysis for Business Unit Cost Centre Managers.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting as needed.
  • Support month-end close tasks, including journal entries.
  • Prepare bids and buck sheets for the total C5ISR group.

  • Ensure timely completion of corporate submissions (tax packages, etc.).
  • Conduct ad hoc reporting and analysis.
  • Support process improvement projects.
  • Perform general accounting and finance tasks.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly/quarterly.
  • Provide backup and support for team members.

What you Bring:

  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in Accounting or Business.
  • Professional Accounting Designation or MBA preferred.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing or high-tech environments.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work effectively in teams and with cross-functional groups.
  • Strong analytical skills and technical ability, including ERP systems experience (preferably SAP).
  • Open to change and continuous improvement.
