Job description

We're looking for a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A to support Hootsuite's growth. You will understand our business deeply, set and analyze financial plans, and partner with stakeholders to provide insights into trends and support business decisions. You will play a key role in the annual budgeting process. This role offers remote, hybrid, or in-office work in Vancouver or Toronto, reporting to the Senior Director, FP&A.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Budgeting and Forecasting & Business Partnering

• Develop tools and templates for departmental budgets and forecasts, supporting scalable solutions for growth.
• Partner with departments, providing budgeting assistance and reporting, and presenting findings clearly.
• Monitor actual results versus budgets, review variances with stakeholders.

Management Reporting and Financial Planning System support

• Support management and board reporting with clear narratives on performance.
• Report on headcount and hiring plans against budgets, communicating deviations.
• Improve and audit financial systems like Adaptive Insights.

Decision Support / Finance and Business Advisory

• Provide financial analysis for strategic planning, scenario modeling, and business cases.
• Deliver insights for corporate reports to executives, the Board, and investors.
• Identify and recommend improvements to operational efficiency and controls.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Experience in FP&A or similar roles.
• CPA, CFA, CBV, MBA preferred.
• Strong skills in financial modeling, data analysis, Google Sheets, Netsuite.
• Knowledge of Adaptive Insights is a plus.
• Problem-solving, collaboration, communication skills, resilience, customer focus.
