Job description

We’re looking for a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A to help us support the next exciting phase in Hootsuite’s growth. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will gain a deep understanding of our business and be a key player in setting, monitoring, and analyzing our financial plans and forecasts. You’ll partner with key stakeholders to provide insights into financial and operating trends, support business cases and decisions, and play a key role in the annual budgeting process. Working remotely or in a hybrid setup (virtual and in-office in Vancouver or Toronto), you will report to the Senior Director, FP&A.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

1. Budgeting and Forecasting & Business Partnering

• Develop tools and templates to support departmental budgets and forecasts, creating scalable solutions for Hootsuite’s growth.
• Partner with departments to assist with budgeting and reporting, presenting findings and recommendations clearly.
• Monitor actual results versus budgets, reviewing variances with stakeholders.

Management Reporting and Financial System Support

• Support management and board reporting with clear narratives and insights.
• Maintain processes for headcount and hiring plans, communicating deviations.
• Support improvements and audits of the Adaptive Insights system.

Decision Support / Business Advisory

• Provide financial analysis for strategic planning, scenario modeling, and business case development.
• Contribute insights to corporate performance reports for executives, the Board, and investors.
• Identify operational and financial gaps, recommending improvements.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Relevant FP&A experience or similar role.
• CPA, CFA, CBV, MBA preferred.
• Strong financial modeling skills, experience with Google Sheets and Netsuite.
• Knowledge of Adaptive Insights is a plus.
• Problem-solving skills, collaboration, clear communication, resilience, customer focus.
