Job Description

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

OPERATIONAL SUPPORT
  • Leading the annual planning process at the divisional level.
  • Preparing monthly consolidated forecasts (B/R/E/C/WC) for the assigned business units and analyzing variances between Actual, forecasted, and Plan results.
  • Analyzing profit streams and identifying key opportunities.
  • Developing annual labor rates and identifying reduction opportunities.
  • Conducting benchmarking analysis using internal and external sources.
  • Preparing and analyzing weekly Quarterly Outlook/ Ops report & MBR.
  • Implementing continuous improvement initiatives related to Finance Processes and ATS Code of Business Conduct.
  • Developing business models, key indicators, and benchmarks to support decision-making.
  • Using SQL and Excel to analyze large data sets.
  • Reviewing and improving existing systems and strategies.
  • Applying industry best practices in analysis and requirements gathering.
  • Creating data visualizations like charts and tables.
  • Understanding business strategies and working with stakeholders to define system requirements.
  • Leading design sessions for new features or systems.
  • Collaborating on planning, design, development, and deployment of applications.
  • Creating process models and documentation for system development.
  • Performing tests and supporting post-implementation activities.
  • Training system users on new and modified systems.
  • Identifying cost savings and efficiency opportunities with the Director of Finance.
  • Preparing specific financial analyses as assigned.
FINANCIAL REPORTING AND ACCOUNTING
  • Completing monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting duties.
  • Assisting with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting and audit preparations.
  • Supporting special projects and system integrations.
INTERNAL CONTROL, POLICIES, AND PROCEDURES
  • Maintaining accurate and complete accounting records.
  • Supporting adherence to financial policies and internal controls.
  • Safeguarding company assets.
  • Ensuring compliance with governance and safety policies.
Qualifications

Education: A university degree or college diploma in business, accounting, or equivalent experience. CPA designation is required.

Experience: Minimum five years in financial planning & analysis or cost accounting, preferably in manufacturing or construction using percentage of completion accounting. Proficiency with ERP systems (preferably JD Edwards) and Excel is required. Must be hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting deadlines. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential. Ability to work independently and in teams is mandatory.
