Job Purpose

Reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis, this position plays a key role in the company’s forecasting, budgeting, and sales compensation processes. The role will support quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, and sales compensation planning, while ensuring the consistent application of accounting principles and financial analysis across all locations and divisions.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
  • Support the annual budget process. Standardization and creation of all templates and liaising with various parties to formulate, analyze, and support the budgeting process, and prepare PowerPoint presentations that clearly and visually summarize the budget for senior leadership and Board of Directors.
  • Support the quarterly reforecasting of the consolidated financial statements at a detailed level, including the cash flow forecast. Including the preparation of the PowerPoint presentation that clearly and visually summarize the forecast for the senior leadership and Board of Directors.
  • Support the calculation of monthly, quarterly, and annual commission payouts. Look for ways to streamline and improve the process.
  • Report financial and operating data to various business groups and provide in-depth analysis on this data to support the integration of data-driven business making into operations.
  • Responsible for monitoring and updating the chart of accounts, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness of the structure.
  • Supporting the creation of adhoc reporting within the ERP System.
  • Working closely with the Senior Management Team to educate them regarding finance and accounting procedures.
  • Assist with adhoc analysis and special projects.
Education And Experience
  • University Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics and/or Accounting & Finance.
  • Minimum three (3) years progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment considered as a strong asset.
  • Preference will be given to individuals who have completed a recognized Accounting/Finance Designation (CPA).
  • Proficiency in MS Office is desired with advanced experience of MS Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with an ERP System and Power BI is ideal.
