This Senior Financial Analyst role will support Cigna Canada and its subsidiaries, providing in-depth financial analytics for management and supporting finance functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Prepare and report on financial performance for senior management and Board review.
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages for financial review discussions.
  • Conduct data mining to assist in preparing comprehensive financial overviews.
  • Provide value-added financial analysis and dashboards.
  • Prepare Regulatory Capital and Investment Analysis.
  • Research, monitor, and analyze regulatory, accounting, and tax standards.
  • Research and report on industry data analysis to management.
  • Assist with maintaining supplementary lead schedules.
  • Assist with planning and forecasting.
  • Facilitate audits with external auditors.
  • Maintain accounting policies and procedures documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and policies.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Assist with finance projects and initiatives.
  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree and a recognized Canadian CPA designation.
  • Proficiency in report writing and presentation (e.g., PowerPoint).
  • Ability to analyze and interpret statistical and financial data.
  • 3+ years of experience in analytical or auditing roles.
  • Experience in the financial services industry, preferably regulated insurance (OSFI).
