Grey County is seeking a permanent, full-time Financial Analyst to compile, review, analyse, and report financial data for internal and external requirements. The role demands collaboration within the Finance department and the Budgets/Accounting team, with duties spanning budgeting, month-end close, and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or related field.
• CPA designation in good standing.
• Minimum of two years in a related position; municipal experience preferred.
• Knowledge of PSAB Section 3150 and Tangible Capital Assets.

Responsabilités

• Prepares, reviews, and analyzes monthly financial reports for assigned departments including variance analysis and adjusting journal entries as required.
• Oversees year end close procedures and assists with year end audits and Financial Information Return.
• Prepares operating budget templates and assists in budget development and variance analysis.
• Supervises and mentors assigned staff; supports knowledge transfer and staff development.
