Job summary

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team in Pickering. Reporting to the Finance Controller, Major Nuclear Projects, you will lead budgetary analysis, monthly variance and forecast reporting, and support project client coordination.

The role requires preparing reporting for senior executives and provincial ministries, developing financial models, and producing business cases. Strong ERP and BI capabilities are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 4-year university degree in Business, Finance or Accounting and CPA designation.
• 8+ years of related experience in a consultative financial role.
• Demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining financial and accounting policies, procedures, and control processes.
• Results-oriented with the ability to learn quickly and manage multiple projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent leadership, judgement, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• High proficiency with Word, Excel, and Power BI.
• Hands on experience using SAP, Asset Suite 9, and Anaplan.

Responsibilities

• Develops and advises on accounting policies and procedures.
• Maintains awareness of GAAP and business environment impacts.
• Conducts investigations into specialized accounting areas and prepares procedures.
• Reviews accounting practices and provides due diligence assessments.
• Provides management reports and interprets financial results.
