Job summary

Techtronic Industries Inc. Canada is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to partner with Consumer business teams. You will deliver insightful analysis, forecast, report, and provide strategic recommendations to drive profitable growth.

You will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management and participate in budgeting, forecasting, month-end closes, and quarterly reviews. The role requires a CPA designation (or near completion), 3+ years of finance experience, and strong Excel/Access

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
  • Fully designated CPA, or close to completion.
  • 3+ years' finance and accounting experience - preferably for a large corporation.
  • Commercial Finance Experience.
  • Experience leading/managing projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel & Access.
  • Previous SAP and/or HFM experience a plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting and financial analysis.
  • Flexible, self-starter with ability to work independently.
  • Detail oriented with quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  • Team-oriented with ability to interact with all levels of employees.
  • Results driven with a track record to support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Project management skills, organized, multitasking, attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis and forecasting to support business decisions.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management to achieve objectives.
  • Prepare financial models and ad hoc analysis for leadership.
  • Support month-end reporting, forecasting, and budget processes.
  • Maintain datasets and profitability analysis at category level.
  • Develop and implement new reporting tools for growing demands.
  • Identify inefficiencies and propose process improvements.
  • Prepare Quarterly Financial Operations Review documents.
  • Participate in strategic financial projects.
  • Analyze category-level P&L variances and explanations.

Position Description

The Senior Financial Analyst is a key finance partner supporting the Consumer business. This role is responsible for delivering insightful financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, and strategic recommendations that enable business leaders to make informed decisions and drive profitable growth.

Working closely with leaders across Sales, Marketing, and Product Management, the Senior Financial Analyst translates financial and operational data into actionable insights, identifies opportunities to improve financial performance, and helps shape business strategy. The role also plays an important part in the planning and reporting cycle, including budgeting, forecasting, month-end reporting, and quarterly financial reviews.

What You Will Do
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, forecasting, and provide strategic insights to support business decisions and improve financial performance.
  • Partner with key business leaders within Sales, Marketing, and Product Management to deliver on business objectives.
  • Preparation of financial models and ad hoc analysis to support leadership.
  • Provide support for month end reporting, forecasting, & budget process.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of existing processes and propose improvements.
  • Play a key role in the preparation of the Quarterly Financial Operations Review.

What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance
  • Fully designated CPA, or close to completion
  • 3+ years' finance and accounting experience - preferably for a large corporation

  • Strong proficiency with MS Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Access
  • Previous SAP and/or HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) experience is a plus
