A leading retail organization in Toronto seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to prepare financial analysis and support retail performance. Job description
What you\'ll do

Reporting directly to the VP, FPA Retail Operations, the Senior Financial Analyst, COO Support will be responsible for preparing financial analysis and reporting to support Retail performance

Provide support to COO organization by monitoring results, providing analysis, investigating variances and identifying risks and opportunities with a focus on providing meaningful actionable insights

Prepare, analyze, and deliver month end review presentations for overall Retail performance

Review key performance metrics (financial and business metrics) to improve existing reports and develop new reports.

Build robust and interactive reports to shed light on the performance of various initiatives.

Lead a variety of ad hoc projects as assigned

Work collaboratively with the Banner FP&A teams

Foster strong working relationships across the businesses and work proactively to identify opportunities for finance to act as a strategic business partner.

Optimize tasks to increase efficiency and accuracy, include driving the design of automation for the business.

What you bring
  • Minimum of 2 -3 years experience in forecasting and planning.
  • CPA designation is a nice to have.
  • Experience within the retail sector is preferred
  • Ability to clearly and confidently, communicate results to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to influence and persuade different points of view.
  • Ability to execute multiple projects and drive key business results under tight deadlines.
  • Strong time management and self-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in an ambiguous environment
  • Self-starter attitude with willingness to learn and master new technologies.
  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience using Hyperion Planning & HFM, Peoplesoft accounting systems.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and strategic thinking skills; able to see the “big picture” in a complex business environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
