Job description

Clio is the global leader in legal AI technology, empowering legal professionals and law firms of every size to work smarter, faster, and more securely.

Corporate FP&A owns Clio’s consolidated view of the business. We lead the annual operating plan, rolling forecasts, and long-range plan, and we produce reporting that goes to our executive team, Board, and investors. Partnering with business leaders across Clio, we turn company strategy into a plan, track how we’re delivering against it, and make sure leadership has an accurate, timely read on performance.

Who you are:

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Senior Financial Analyst who takes numbers seriously, thrives in a rapid-growth, high-velocity environment, and lives and breathes our values.

As a Senior Financial Analyst on Corporate FP&A, you will own key parts of Clio’s company-wide planning and reporting cycle, from the annual budget and monthly reforecast, to Board and investor materials. This position requires a deep understanding of SaaS business models, strong analytical and financial modelling skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

What you’ll work on:
  • Annual operating plan and long-range plan: Build key components of the annual budget and multi-year plan, consolidating department inputs into a company-level P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Budget vs. actuals analysis: Lead monthly and quarterly budget vs. actuals variance analysis, pinpoint the drivers behind results, and deliver clear, actionable commentary on risks and opportunities to the executive team.
  • Board and investor reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly executive, Board, and investor materials, including KPI and metric reporting, performance commentary, and peer benchmarking.
  • Cash flow and balance sheet: Forecast cash, working capital, and key balance sheet items to support capital planning and treasury decisions, working closely with Accounting to understand the drivers behind actuals and using those insights to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Scenario modelling and strategic analysis: Build models that test scenarios and assess the financial impact of strategic initiatives and investments.
  • Planning systems and data integrity: Help own and improve our planning model and its connections to source systems (ERP, HRIS), ensuring clean data, reconciled reporting, and a single source of truth.
  • Process improvement: Continuously improve the speed, accuracy, and automation of the planning and reporting cycle, including through AI-enabled workflows.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • CPA designation is preferred, and experience with US GAAP is an advantage
  • 3+ years of FP&A experience, ideally in a corporate or consolidated FP&A role at a high-growth SaaS or technology company; experience in accounting, audit, or financial consulting is also valued
  • Hands-on experience running budget and forecast cycles and producing management or Board-level reporting
  • Strong three-statement modelling skills and a clear understanding of how the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow connect
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business metrics and key performance indicators
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills; experience with connected planning tools (e.g., Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive) is an asset
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to find efficiencies and automate finance processes such as forecasting, variance commentary, reconciliations, or reporting
  • Be passionate about effective and intuitive data visualization
  • Be deeply data-driven, analytical, and curious, with strong attention to detail
  • Be self-motivated, independent, and deadline-oriented, and able to manage several planning and reporting deadlines at once
