We invite you to use your skills with us and contribute to something meaningful and enduring.The Opportunity We are currently seeking a Senior Specialist, Financial Performance & Analysis to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team in Toronto.This is a permanent Onsite position.As a Senior Specialist, Financial Performance & Analysis, you will support the preparation of Vale's world-wide Base Metals annual financial plans and periodic forecast updates and provides high quality and timely analysis of actual results against the plan/budget and forecasts. Your experience and skill will allow you serve as a key support for the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis in achieving the group's objectives while responsible for communicating with the operating units, marketing and production planning on a regular basis regarding financial forecasts and operating results.Additionally, in this position you will: Conduct in-depth analysis and clearly communicate monthly economic and financial performance, ensuring alignment with company strategy and identifying opportunities for optimization.Lead the preparation of the consolidated annual plan and monthly rolling forecasts, integrating cross-functional inputs to support company strategy and decision-making.Develop and present monthly variance analyses comparing actual financial and operational results against budget, forecast, and prior periods, with actionable insights.Ensure adherence to corporate budgeting guidelines by standardizing processes across regions, while respecting local regulatory and cultural nuances.Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and systems across the organization, identifying automation opportunities and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.About You Education:Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline.CFA/CPA designation is preferable.Experience:A minimum of 11 years of professional experience in finance (financial analysis, financial planning, reporting).Experience with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and other analytic tools is an assetSkills:Experience in leading complex projects, provides strategic direction, and mentors other professionals and recognized as a thought leader in their field.Exceptional technical and strategic skills, leadership abilities, and the capacity to influence and drive change.Proven analytical skills.
