Reporting to: Sr. Strategic Finance Manager

PYXiS Software Group, a wholly owned portfolio of the Jonas Operating Group of Constellation Software (TSX: CSU), is seeking a highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our growing finance team. This role provides a unique opportunity to operate at a strategic level, gain direct leadership experience, and significantly impact the trajectory of multiple growing software businesses while also owning their financial compliance process. The group for this role is comprised of multiple businesses with potential additions due to M&A.

With a focus on FP&A, Accounting and Strategic Finance, this role is an exciting opportunity to develop your career.

  • Strategic Business Partnership: Act as a key financial advisor and partner directly with the CEOs of a growing portfolio of five software companies with strong organic growth.
  • Drive Financial Planning: Take ownership of the end-to-end FP&A process, including quarterly forecasting, and collaborating with stakeholders from finance, strategy and operations.
  • Month-End & Compliance Oversight: Lead month-end close activities for your portfolio of businesses, owning compliance and integrity of financial results.
  • M&A Integration: Play a crucial role in our growth story by supporting M&A activities, including post-acquisition integration and potential support during the diligence process.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Develop your management skills by providing direct oversight, coaching, and mentorship to two Financial Analysts.
  • Executive Exposure: Gain invaluable experience by preparing analyses for, participating in discussions with, and presenting directly to senior leadership.

Your Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly financial reporting packages for multiple business units, providing actionable insights.
  • Drive the preparation, review and consolidation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, collaborating closely with business leaders.
  • Oversee key month-end accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and providing critical forecast-to-actual analysis.
  • Preparation and review of month-end and quarter-end compliance deliverables under IFRS, including Note Disclosures, Reconciliations, and other tasks
  • Develop, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor business health and inform strategic decisions.
  • Mentor and guide junior finance team members, fostering their professional development.
  • Support M&A integration and due diligence processes as required.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial modeling and strategic analysis to support senior management decision-making.
  • Flexibility around time zones when collaborating with global team members may be required.
  • Occasional travel may be required to support a global company setting and remote work.

Who You Are:

  • You possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A CPA designation is highly preferred.
  • You bring a minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in finance/accounting roles, ideally with public accounting (IFRS) experience and either interest or experience in FP&A and Strategic Finance.
  • You have advanced proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, modeling) and are comfortable working with accounting/ERP systems.
  • You are a natural leader and collaborator with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships and presenting confidently to all levels, including your direct reports and executive leadership.
  • You possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities – you see the 'why' behind the numbers.
  • You are exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • You are proactive, results-driven, and eager to take ownership and contribute to a growing team.
  • Experience in the software industry or within an acquisitive company environment is a definite asset.
  • Prior experience mentoring or supervising staff is advantageous.
