The Financial and Consumer Services Commission (Commission) is a leader in integrated financial and consumer services regulation. The Commission's mandate is to protect consumers and enhance public confidence in the financial and consumer marketplace through regulatory and educational services. With offices in Fredericton and Saint John, it oversees legislation related to mortgage brokers, payday lenders, real estate, securities, insurance, pensions, credit unions, trust and loan companies, cooperatives, unclaimed property, and other consumer legislation.

Position: Senior Securities Analyst

We are seeking an experienced professional for our Securities Division in Saint John. The role involves:

1. Providing expertise in reviewing prospectus and disclosure documents filed by New Brunswick reporting issuers to ensure full, true, and plain disclosure, including policy development and participation in national committees.
2. Acting as an accounting resource for the Division and the Commission, reviewing financial documents and supporting budgeting activities.

This position reports to the Manager, Corporate Finance.

Qualifications

• University degree, CPA designation, and membership in good standing with CPA NB
• 7+ years relevant post-designation experience
• Deep knowledge of GAAP and Auditing Standards
• Knowledge of IFRS
• Securities legislation knowledge is an asset
• Strong Excel skills; experience with Tableau is an asset
• Bilingual in English and French is an asset
• Analytical skills, sound judgment, tact, and discretion

Salary and Benefits

Salary Range: $104,315 to $143,433 annually. We offer a competitive salary, benefits, and opportunities for growth.
