We are seeking a results-driven Senior Financial Analyst to join our growing real estate development team in Richmond Hill , with a focus on high-rise and low-rise residential projects . This role offers a unique opportunity to work hands-on with project budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling across all stages of the development lifecycle. Experience with Newstar software is an asset. A CPA designation is an asset , but not mandatory. This is a fully in office role

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop, maintain, and update financial models for residential developments (high-rise and low-rise).
  • Analyze project budgets, proformas, and cash flows to support strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with project managers, construction, and accounting teams to ensure financial alignment throughout project lifecycles.
  • Perform variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and actuals, highlighting key drivers.
  • Assist in the preparation of financing packages, investor reports, and internal presentations.
  • Monitor development schedules, cost tracking, and milestone reporting.
  • Provide support during the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors, as required.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial reporting and analysis using Newstar.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and market data affecting residential real estate.

Qualifications :

  • Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in a financial analyst role within the real estate development or construction industry .
  • Experience working with Newstar software is asset.
  • CPA designation or in-progress is considered a strong asset .
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial modeling and sensitivity analysis.
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
