Senior Financial Analyst

We are seeking a motivated and analytical thinker to join our team in the role of Senior Financial Analyst, which is responsible for pension investment monitoring, fund management selection, and working on a currency desk that manages over $12 billion in annual foreign exchange flows. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of foreign global exchange markets to analyze currency risk, liquidity risk, and derivative products.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and execute strategies associated with foreign exchange hedging activity. This includes preparing background economic research and analysis, executing transactions, and determining appropriate counterparties to deal with while managing the counterparty relationships.
  • Responsible for valuing the foreign exchange derivative portfolio and reporting on counterparty risk, liquidity risk and available trading lines.
  • Administer and implement foreign exchange and interest rate-oriented software applications, while ensuring the integrity of market data and trade pricing.
  • Maintain effective business relationships with banks that provide significant operating capital to Bunge, as well as access to derivative financial products essential to the day-to-day operation of our business.
  • Provide support related to insurance renewals and administering insurance certificates.
  • Participate in the Pension Investment Committee, which is responsible for selecting and monitoring external investment managers for over $700 million of assets.
  • Support group functions by performing account reconciliations, managing intercompany loans, conducting Sarbanes Oxley compliance reviews, submitting capital projects, and participating in various other projects and tasks as needed.

What you bring to our team

  • Analytical thinker with attention to detail, adaptable, and quick to learn new concepts.
  • Graduated from a post-secondary institution with a degree in Business Administration / Commerce with a major in Finance.
  • Knowledgeable and have a thorough understanding of domestic and international financial markets, particularly foreign exchange markets.
  • Proven interpersonal skills, sound judgement, strong problem-solving skills and research ability.
  • Experienced with the use of spreadsheets, word processing software and computerized financial and market data systems within a Windows based operating environment.
  • Completion of or enrollment in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program, or other derivatives courses is considered an asset.
