SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST

Harris is currently looking to hire an experienced Senior Financial Analyst. The ideal candidate has obtained or is working towards their professional accounting designation, has progressive accounting experience, a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a passion for continuous learning and improvement.

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be a key part of Harris's finance team and will be responsible for providing financial support and analysis that directly impacts the success of a Business Unit. Reporting to the Controller, you will perform month, quarter, and year-end closing tasks, along with various ad hoc projects. You will regularly interact with fellow Analysts, other finance team members, and the senior leadership of the business units.

WHAT WILL BE YOUR NEW ROLE

  • Perform technical accounting analyses under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), including;

Completing month-end and quarter-end close processes, analyzing results, preparing journal entries, detailed balance sheet reconciliations, and various reporting deliverables for senior leadership.

  • Tracking and analyzing deferred revenue streams.
  • Calculating commissions owed based on invoicing and bookings.
  • Building and nurturing relationships while providing excellent customer service to the business units.
  • Assisting the business units in maintaining accurate forecasts.
  • Preparing audit requests and responding to queries during quarterly reviews and the interim and year-end audits.
  • Leading or assisting with special ad hoc projects impacting various stakeholders within the organization.
  • Supporting due diligence processes and integrating new acquisitions into the finance group.
  • WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    • At least 4 years of progressive experience in financial analysis and/or accounting.
    • CPA member or student (or member/student of a similar professional accounting body).
    • Effective communicator comfortable working with all levels of management.
    • Solutions-focused mindset with a desire to improve processes.
    • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
