Job description

On behalf of our client, Procom is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for a permanent, onsite role at our client’s Mississauga office.

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for delivering insightful financial analysis, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enable data-driven decision-making. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this role requires a strong background in financial reporting, analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and variance analysis.
  2. Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning, scenario analysis, and strategic initiatives.
  3. Partner with business units to develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
  4. Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  5. Support business cases, investment appraisals, and ROI analyses for capital expenditures and strategic projects.
  6. Monitor KPIs and prepare dashboards for senior leadership.
  7. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and systems.
  8. Coordinate with internal and external audit teams for audit requirements.
  9. Prepare sales quote worksheets upon request from the sales team.
  10. Assist in documenting compliance requirements from government agencies.
  11. Reconcile and maintain key accounting schedules and margin Masterfile.
  12. Keep track of manufacturing costs at the SKU level.
  13. Reconcile and maintain general ledger accounts.
  14. Support IT project implementations and other ad hoc financial analyses and reports as required.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, or related roles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., Business Central, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and high attention to detail skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of key financial drivers.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with financial planning tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Adaptive Insights).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Bilingual in English/Mandarin/Cantonese is a must-have.

This is a permanent position with an ASAP start date.
