Senior Financial Analyst
Job Details
Position Summary: The Senior Financial Analyst is direct reporting to Financial Controller, and is responsible for delivering insightful financial analysis, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting and analysis, forecasting, and budgeting, with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and variance analysis.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning, scenario analysis, and strategic initiatives.
- Partner with business units to develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Support business cases, investment appraisals, and ROI analyses for capital expenditures and strategic projects.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare dashboards for senior leadership.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and systems.
- Work with internal and external audit teams for delivery of various audit requirements.
- Prepare sales quote worksheet at the request of sales team.
- Assist in the documentation of all compliance related requirements from government agencies.
- Reconcile and maintain key accounting schedules and margin Masterfile.
- Keep track of manufacturing costs at the SKU level.
- Reconcile and maintain general ledger accounts.
- Support implementation of IT projects and other ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, or related roles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong experience with ERP systems (e.g., Business Central, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Experience with financial planning tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Adaptive Insights) is an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive mindset.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of key financial drivers.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm (includes 30 mins unpaid lunch)

$66,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
