Base pay range

CA$100,000.00/yr - CA$110,000.00/yr

A well-established mining company is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its growing finance team. This is an ideal opportunity for a CPA or CPA-track professional with a strong understanding of financial reporting, internal controls, and back-end operations in the mining sector. The successful candidate will play a critical role in improving audit readiness, driving operational efficiencies, and ensuring financial data integrity.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports in compliance with accounting standards
• Manage payroll processes and ensure adherence to relevant legislation and internal policies
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, acting as Controller over financial data accuracy
• Strengthen internal controls and implement process improvements to mitigate risk
• Support audit remediation efforts by addressing findings and implementing corrective actions

Analysis & Strategic Support

• Perform detailed financial analysis to support business planning and strategic initiatives
• Lead or support ad hoc financial projects and reporting requests
• Evaluate and enhance back-end finance processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness

What You Bring

• CPA designation or CPA (CFE) candidate near completion
• 2+ years of experience in financial analysis or senior-level accounting, preferably in the mining or natural resources sector
• Expertise in financial reporting, general ledger oversight, and internal control frameworks
• Familiarity with payroll oversight and audit processes
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial systems
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote setting
