This is a hybrid position, reporting directly to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for analyzing rebate and purchase data, organizing key datasets, and ensuring the full collection of all rebate entitlements. This role will work closely with, and have an informal reporting line to, Category Management leadership to align financial insights with business priorities and drive performance.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain rebate contract schedules, ensuring terms are up to date, documented, and aligned with financial records.
  • Analyze purchase and rebate data to identify trends and insights that support the Category Management team in driving strategic decisions and improving program profitability.
  • Participate in various month-end and year-end activities, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, preparation and analysis of schedules, statements and reports for Senior Management.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and tracking tools to support audit readiness and compliance.
  • Partner with Accounts Receivable and vendors to ensure timely and accurate rebate collections.
  • Assist in integration of new acquisitions by analyzing pricing and program structures in collaboration with the Corporate Controller.
  • Respond to ad hoc inquiries from the Category Management and Finance teams regarding program details and rebate tracking, typically resolving requests within the same day.
  • Leverage Power BI to maximize data analysis, and to aid automation where possible.
  • Provide insights to divisional departments on their respective initiatives and collection efforts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related major
  • Holder of a CPA designation or enrolled and nearing completion
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, consistently meeting deadlines with accurate and detailed results
  • Demonstrates expertise in business analysis and financial modeling
  • Experience in preparing complex, detailed financial reports including financial statements and various financial models
  • Experience aggregating / summarizing large amounts of information from multiple sources and presenting in a value-added format
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills including an ability to build relationships across divisions
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, macros would be an asset)
  • Attentive to detail and accuracy
  • Work independently and collaboratively
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting / finance or public accounting experience (Public accounting experience preferred)
  • Warehousing & distribution industry experience an asset
  • Experience working with Hyperion Financial Management software an asset
