Job Description
The Senior Financial Accountant, Financial Reporting role sits within ourPacific Life Re (PL Re) Financial Reporting and Tax team, reporting directly to the Manager, Financial Reporting. The role will be based in Toronto and will include hybrid working arrangement (up to 4 days a week in office).
THIS OPPORTUNITY IS DESIGNATED AS A 24-MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT
The role is responsible for handling the preparation, analysis and delivery of financial reports on multiple accounting frameworks (e.g. US GAAP, US Statutory (US STAT), Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA), Economic Capital (EC), and other local regulatory/internal bases as required).The role involves close collaboration with Financial Reporting and Tax, Financial Management and Treasury, Actuarial and other teams within PL Re and its parent company, Pacific Life (PL). PL Re’s primary statutory reporting basis is US GAAP, as a Division of a US based parent, and with the top divisional entities reporting on a US GAAP basis.
This role is a serves as a key contributor to the financial and regulatory reporting and supporting finance-related project activities as required.
