About the Opportunity

Year-end audit:

• Prepare year-end audit files: providing financial statements, reconciliations and working papers
• Answering auditor's queries
• Assist in preparation of consolidation Financial Statements for Limited Partnership

Budgets:

• Initial budget setup using budget proforma
• Monthly maintenance and finalizing of construction budgets for an assigned portfolio

• Preparation of month end accounts reconciliations as well as intercompany reconciliations

Bank Draws:

• Provide information for initial Bank Loan Application
• Prepare documents for bank draws monthly
• Coordinate with cost consultants, project managers, banks to satisfy all requirements

• Responsible for cash management - month end and daily cash requirements

Sales:

• Maintain sales schedule
• Prepare schedule tracking mortgage confirms, deposits, purchase and sale agreements for the banks financing purposes
• Responsible for Tarion Registration
• Confirm and approve statement of adjustments received from lawyers
• Approve upgrade letters sent to Purchasers
• Reconciling upgrades/incentives
• Follow up with deposits returned/NSF cheques
• Prepare and book sales journal
• Manage closing funds

General:

• Bank reconciliations
• Preparation of HST returns and analysis of accounts
• Answering CRA auditor's queries
• Maintenance of general ledger - reconciliation and analysis of accounts
• Providing information and forms for T5's and T5018's

About You

• Over 5 years of experience as a Financial Accountant in the Real Estate Development industry
• In progress or completion of University Degree or College Diploma in Finance, Economics or Accounting is required
• CPA designation or final level of CPA is required

Salary Range
$90,000 - $100,000/year depending on candidate experience
