Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking a Senior Finance Manager/Controller in Collingwood, ON to lead daily full cycle accounting and financial operations. You will report to the GM/President and Boards, translating finance for non-finance staff, while overseeing budgeting, governance, and system improvements.

The role requires CPA or equivalent, 10+ years in accounting, 5+ years in leadership, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• CPA credential required or equivalent.
• 10+ years of progressive full cycle accounting experience, ideally autonomously or in a small team.
• 5+ years in a management or supervisory role.
• Experience with Boards, Finance Committees, or governance structures is desirable.
• Advanced proficiency in financial management systems and accounting software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Mature, professional, reliable with long-term stability goals.

About the role:

Reporting directly to the General Manager, President and Board of Directors, this position as Head of Finance is in charge of daily full cycle accounting and financial operations of the company. As part of the Leadership team, your strengths will be speaking finance to non finance staff, operations, and seasonal staff. You will love multi-tasking, wearing many hats and a variety in your day-to-day work. You will manage relationships and have frequent interactions with other company leaders, staff, contractors, vendors, and customers.
