Job summary

Synechron, a global consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Business Analyst – Finance Data & Architecture to bridge Finance, Banking Operations and Enterprise Data Architecture, driving data modernization initiatives. You will trace transactions across source systems, subledgers, and the General Ledger to support regulatory and management reporting with data integrity.

The role requires deep banking and accounting expertise, strong SQL, and collaboration with engineers to design scalable

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Business Analysis, Data Analysis, or Financial Systems experience in Banking.
• Deep knowledge of General Ledger, Journal processing and accounting events.
• Balance Sheet and P&L reporting, financial data flows and reconciliation.
• Strong banking domain knowledge (Syndicated Lending, Treasury, Fixed Income, Deposits/Payments).
• Strong SQL skills and experience documenting data mappings and processes.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business, data, and reporting requirements.
• Translate requirements into data mappings, functional specs, and design artifacts.
• Analyze end-to-end financial data flows from source systems through subledgers and GL.
• Create and maintain source-to-target mappings, data lineage, and data models.
• Partner with Finance, Product Control, Treasury, Risk, Operations, and Technology.
• Support data warehouse, reporting, governance, and modernization initiatives.
• Perform data analysis, reconciliation, impact assessments, and root-cause investigations.
