More About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Senior Final Assembler in Langley, BC with Signify.

  • Rate: $19.58 per hour
  • Shift: 6:30am to 3:00pm (Monday to Friday)
  • Union Environment
Responsibilities
  1. Efficient and safe use of hand, power, and measuring tools, along with operation and setup of production equipment and machinery.
  2. Assemble and sub-assemble lighting fixtures and components (mechanical and electrical). Test and package assemblies and components.
  3. Make inventory transactions using scanners and computer equipment.
  4. Assist Engineering with prototypes and new product development, and support materials/inventory management, providing recommendations to Manufacturing Engineering and Continuous Improvement Teams.
  5. Direct, assist, and train Final Assemblers.
  6. Operate within Safety Policies, ISO Regulations, Work Station Instructions, and Quality Standards as per engineering drawings. Maintain workstation organization, cleanliness, and tools; follow 5S principles.
  7. Act as lead hand and/or backup lead hand as required.
  8. Assist other departments and work cells as needed.
About You

While we value all applicants, the following skills and experience are preferred:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  2. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
  3. Manual dexterity for assembly and machine operations; ability to stand/sit for prolonged periods.
  4. Experience as a Full Proficiency Final Assembler.
  5. Understanding of department paperwork and good communication skills.
  6. Ability to read drawings and perform inventory transactions using basic computer skills.
  7. Ability to pass a practical Sub Assembly Test.
