More about the role

This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a Senior Final Assembler in Langley, BC with Signify.

Rate: $19.58 per hour

Shift: 6:30am to 3:00pm (Monday to Friday)

Union Environment

  • Efficient and safe use of hand, power and measuring tools along with efficient and safe operation and set up of production equipment and machinery

  • Assemble and sub assemble lighting fixtures and related components (mechanical and electrical). Test and package assemblies and components

  • Make inventory transactions with the efficient use of scanners and computer equipment

  • Provide assistance to Engineering on proto-types and New Product Development and Planning with materials/inventory management along with providing assistance and making recommendations to Manufacturing Engineering and Continuous Improvement Teams

  • Direct, assist and train Final Assemblers

  • Operate within Safety Policies, ISO Regulations, Work Station Instructions and Quality Standards as dictated in engineering drawings. Responsible for work station organization, cleanliness and maintenance of tools and equipment; maintains 5S principles and standards

  • Act as lead hand and/or back up lead hand as required

  • Assist in other departments and work cells as required

More about you

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required

  • Manual dexterity required for assembly and machine operations. Ability to fulfill physical requirements including standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time

  • Experience as a Final Assembler possessing full proficiency in all duties and tasks

  • Full understanding of all department related paperwork. Good communication skills.

  • Good clerical ability and able to read and work from drawings

  • Basic computer skills for inventory transactions, data entry and record keeping

  • Able to pass practical Sub Assembly Test
